About

Children and young people have the right to say what they think should happen, and the right to have their opinions taken into account. They can provide valuable information when reporting what is happening in their communities, and with it, help improve their own lives and their peers.

U-Report is one such tool that allows for community participation. It is free-access, it relies on voluntary participation, and is designed to address issues that young people care about. You can like and follow @UReportOECS on Facebook so you receive updates on ongoing polls which you can participate in. Your responses are collected and mapped on this website in real-time, which we also share back with respondents and with policy makers. Issues polled include education, social protection, disease outbreak, climate change, health and anything else young people in the OECS region want to discuss.

Your messages sent to U-Report are confidential, and we do not collect your names, addresses or phone numbers. Aggregated data is transparent, and is publicly accessible by all. Information on this website can be disaggregated by age, gender and country in real time and is used to connect young people with their representatives, improve OECS and UNICEF programmes, and draw attention to urgent issues with national governments and the UN. Civil society organisations, countries’ leaders and development agencies can access our polls and results on this website to understand what young people want and need.
